XEROX Scholarships
- Xerox Corporation is a $15.7 billion technology and services enterprise that helps businesses deploy smart document management strategies and find better ways to work. Its intent is to constantly lead with innovative technologies, products and solutions that customers can depend upon to improve business results.
- Xerox is LAESA-SHPE’s greatest sponsor and as such it is our pleasure to present our members with the Xerox Scholarships. These scholarships are awarded in the annual LAESA-SHPE Gala Banquet/Alumni Dinner.
- Award Amount: $500 for each category
Academic:
- This scholarship is awarded to the LAESA-SHPE student member that demonstrates academic excellence and extracurricular activities involvement.
- GPA greater than 3.0
- Involvement in LAESA-SHPE/City College school activities
- Upper Sophomore (45 credits or more)
Community Service:
- This scholarship is awarded to the LAESA-SHPE student member with the strongest participation in Community-Based Activities.
- Examples: Outreach activities, Tutoring Services, Mentoring, Volunteering, etc.
- GPA greater than 2.5
Technical Contribution:
- This scholarship is awarded to the LAESA-SHPE student member with any type of technical contributions to LAESA-SHPE or the City College Community.
- GPA Greater than 2.5
- Also, it is a PLUS! If this student has won any type of technical contest on behalf of City College.
Leadership:
- This scholarship is awarded to the LAESA-SHPE student member that has held any type of leadership position within LAESA-SHPE or City College.
- This member will need to show his (her) strong leadership skills within LAESA-SHPE or City College.
- GPA Greater than 2.75
New Member:
- This scholarship is awarded to the LAESA-SHPE new student member that has demonstrated a strong commitment to LAESA-SHPE and City College.
- LAESA-SHPE member for two semesters at the most
Most Improved Academically:
- This scholarship is awarded to the LAESA-SHPE student member who demonstrates a strong improvement academically within the last two semesters.
- Upper Sophomore(45 credits or more)
- This member needs to be a full time student for the last two semesters.
- Also, it is a PLUS! If this student has outside responsibilities (Examples: Working, Volunteering, Parenting, etc).
Most Promising Engineer/Scientist Award
- Experience most have taken place within the last year
- Internship/ research/project experience within a company or school
Outstanding Dedication to LAESA-SHPE
- Must have been a member for at least 2 full semesters
- Must have demonstrated maximum participation in LAESA-SHPE events
MEMBER OF THE YEAR $1000
- This scholarship is awarded to the LAESA-SHPE student member that has contributed the most during the entire year.
