Development Excellence in Academics & Leadership: DEAL PROGRAM
- Organizes LAESA-SHPE's mentoring/tutoring program.
- Maintains a database of homework, old exams, and finals of any science, liberal arts and engineering classes which is available to all members.
- Organizes tutoring sessions.
- Provides members with information about on-campus academic-related activities.
Community Outreach:
- In charge of all community service activities/programs within LAESA-SHPE. Some of the activities that LAESA has participated are: Spring Clean Up, October Clean Up, Secret Santa, Coat Drive , Soup Kitchens and more...
Information Technology:
- Securely maintains the LAESA-SHPE network as well as our website.
- Creates LAESA-SHPE accounts for new members.
- Installs any necessary software that may be needed.
Recruitment and Retention:
- Strategically recruits and retains members.
- Organizes events for recruitment and retention purposes.
- Attends different on campus events in which the main goal is to recruit new members.
Public Relation:
- Maintains communication with LAESA-SHPE supporters, both companies and professionals.
- Advertises any activity/workshop that LAESA-SHPE endorses within the school and to SHPE-NYC Sub-region.
- Updates LAESA-SHPE Newsletter at the end of each semester.
Workshops:
- Organizes all workshops and company tours. This includes requesting the speaker, booking room, and everything else necessary to make this event a success. Professional Development workshops includes: Resume Writing, Interview Skills, Time Management, Corporate Dress Code, etc. Information Technology Workshops includes: HTML, Graphic Design, Visual Basic Programming, Network Administration, Multimedia, and more.
Office Manager:
- Right hand of the secretary.
- Responsible for maintaining the order in the office and making sure that when there is no one from the E-board present, everyone follows the rules.
